At dusk, in an Alpine forest, a helmeted mountain biker tackles a rocky step on a rooty trail; the flash freezes the dust thrown up by his rear wheel.

Formats

What they film.

An onboard run with commentary
A descent filmed from chest or helmet, then explained: the line, the braking, what the tyre held.
Suspension tests
Base settings, rides, adjustments: a fork or a shock explained over several weeks, on the same trails.
Technique tutorials
Dropping a step, turning a hairpin, lifting the front wheel: the move the audience tries the next weekend.
A day at the bike park
Lifts, graded runs, features: a place, a bike and protection shown in use.

What to require

What your brief should demand.

An authorised trail
Named in the brief: no national park core zone outside open routes, no private path without permission, no bike park without the operator.
A helmet in every shot
Full-face for downhill and bike parks, with knee pads and gloves.
Jumps in the right place
Bike park features or closed ground, as the creator charter requires: never on a shared trail.
A reference trail
The same section ridden before and after each adjustment: without it, two pressures or two fork settings cannot be compared.

Who invests

The brands that work with them.

Suspension and brakes
Forks, shocks, disc brakes, dropper posts.
Tyres and wheels
Knobbly tyres, anti-pinch inserts, wheels, tubeless kits.
Protection and clothing
Full-face and open helmets, knee pads, back protectors, gloves, jerseys.
Resorts and bike parks
Summer lifts, mountain bike schools, holidays, race organisers.

Questions

Your questions.

Who checks that the trail filmed is authorised?

Each in turn. In the brief, you name the trail or the bike park. Before filming, the creator checks the rule of the day on site: signs, local bylaws, forest access, operator rules. At approval, you see every descent before it is published.

Can a resort be the advertiser?

Yes: a resort or a bike park can commission a campaign for its summer runs, its riding school or its holidays. Filming follows its opening days, and the operator’s permission is settled in advance.
